Co-working today was great! I kind of thought i'd not be focused, but I surprised myself. Some lovely people too. Looking forward to the next one. Thanks Steph!

I really enjoyed the Frodsham Coworking Collective session at No.13 today, and found it surprisingly effective for helping me focus and get work done.

I work largely on my own, and I got far more done there than I would have done at home. It helped me start work earlier, stay focused and avoid the usual distractions and procrastination that can happen when working alone. The ‘body doubling’ aspect worked brilliantly for me, just quietly being alongside other people working created a really motivating atmosphere.

What I particularly liked was that it felt calm, relaxed and friendly rather than intense or pressured. There was very little chatting, which actually suited the purpose perfectly, everyone was just quietly getting on with their own work in a shared space. Somehow, for me, that also made the working feel lighter, happier and much less isolating.

Steph organised everything really well. It felt professional and well thought through, but also warm and welcoming. The venue worked beautifully too, gentle background music (which I’d thought would distract me - but it didn’t), light space, tea and coffee, charging points and different seating areas all helped create a genuinely pleasant environment to work in.

I think this is a fantastic idea for Frodsham and could benefit all sorts of people - home workers, freelancers, students, people working on personal projects, people with ADHD, retirees with projects and anyone who finds working alone difficult or isolating.

    I’ll definitely be back.
